Today marks the day where the world joins forces to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the globe. The 2016 theme for International Women’s Day is “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step it up for Gender Equality”. It is imperative that the world comes together to raise awareness and accelerate the movement of gender parity by pushing the 2030 Agenda.
So what is it that we can do here in the Sutherland Shire? Jackie VanderBrug says in the Harvard Business Review that “Entrepreneurial activity creates growth and prosperity — and solutions for social problems. And today’s trends show that women will be a driving force of entrepreneurial growth in the future”. This is an inspiring statement when gender parity is hot on everyone’s lips. If we can accelerate the traction at which women become entrepreneurs by providing them with the opportunities and support within the developing world, we may be able to live the vision determined by the UN and do so by the aggressive date set of 2030.
At Inspire Cowork we are celebrating International Woman’s Day by providing women with the opportunity to join a community of like-minded people where collaboration, open-mindedness and sharing of knowledge is plentiful. A coworking space adds incredible value to entrepreneurs, freelancers or people within the remote workforce as it provides a motivation to be productive and accountable to the work that needs to be completed. Additionally, it is an environment where you meet new people, enhancing your personal and professional network.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, we are offering women a 50% discount on their first month if you sign up in the month of March. With 24-hour access, full time and part time desks available, Inspire Cowork is flexible to suit the needs of any woman in the business profession. Our part time desk offerings are completely flexible to your needs and the hours can be customized around your schedule.
